Created in 2019 by Guerlain’s Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, Cuir Intense was crafted as a standout gem within the Absolus d'Orient collection—a line dedicated to honoring the finest raw materials of Eastern perfumery.
Wasser was inspired by the ancient art of leather crafting and the rich, fragrant mists of Middle Eastern heritage. To achieve the fragrance's incredible depth, he used high-concentration leather notes and balanced their raw power with osmanthus flower, creating a fragrance known globally for its nuclear longevity and commanding projection.
