The Origin: A Personal Gift to a Countess
Created in 1990 by perfumers Jeannine Mongin, Hubert d'Ornano, and Isabelle d'Ornano, Eau du Soir was originally composed by Count Hubert d'Ornano as an exclusive, personal gift for his wife, Countess Isabelle.
Inspiration came from the Countess's childhood memories of the palace gardens of Alcázar in Seville, Spain—specifically the syringa flower, which releases its intoxicating scent only at dusk. For several years, Countess Isabelle was the only woman in the world who wore the fragrance. After receiving countless compliments at high-society events, she finally agreed to release it to the public in 1999, where it instantly became an international icon.
The Sculptural Flacon: The 100 ml bottle is a true collector's piece. The crystal-clear glass bottle is crowned with a sculpture of a woman’s face enveloped in a starburst, designed by renowned Polish sculptor Bronisław Krzysztof and plated in 18-karat gold.
