The Origin: A Harvest Festival Inspiration
Originally launched in 2018 as part of the limited-edition English Fields collection, Poppy & Barley was created by perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui.
The scent proved so wildly popular that Jo Malone London added it to their permanent main collection in 2019. Bijaoui was inspired by the quintessential British harvest landscape—where vivid crimson poppies grow amidst golden stalks of grain. She used barley and bran extracts to give the floral heart a warm, comforting texture that feels like soft cashmere or sun-baked wheat.
The Signature Minimalist Flacon: The 100 ml bottle features Jo Malone London's classic rectangular clear glass silhouette topped with a polished silver cap and the signature cream-textured label.
