Dior Sauvage Eau De Parfum belongs to the Amber-Fougère family. It takes the sharp, mineral-citrus freshness of the Eau de Toilette and infuses it with oriental spices and smooth vanilla.
- Top Notes (The Radiant Spark): Calabrian Bergamot and Pepper. A sharp, luminous opening harvested specifically for Dior to deliver juicy, zesty freshness.
- Heart Notes (The Spicy Warm Core): Sichuan Pepper, Lavender, Star Anise, and Nutmeg. A textured, warm centerpiece that introduces a smoky, amber-spiced depth.
- Base Notes (The Enveloping Trail): Ambroxan and Papua New Guinean Vanilla Absolute. A rich, woody-amber foundation with a delicious, smoky sweetness that lasts all day and night.
The Origin: François Demachy's Twilight Vision
Released in 2018, Sauvage Eau De Parfum was created by Dior's renowned In-House Perfumer-Creator, François Demachy.
Demachy was inspired by the "magic hour"—that fleeting desert moment when wolves come out and the sky is set ablaze. To capture this atmosphere, he kept the signature Calabrian bergamot and Ambroxan core of the original 2015 EDT, but introduced a rare, sustainably sourced Papua New Guinean vanilla absolute. Extracted using a green technique to preserve its complex aroma, this vanilla adds a dark, leather-tinged warmth that transforms the scent into an addictive night signature.
The Midnight Gradient Flacon: Housed in Dior's heavy, round-shouldered glass bottle featuring a striking color gradient—transitioning from translucent midnight blue at the base to an impenetrable black at the neck. It is topped with a pleated black magnetic cap stamped with the CD seal.
