Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey Polaris belongs to the Amber-Woody-Spicy family. It takes the dark, woody leather DNA of the original Nuit d'Issey and infuses it with richer oriental resins and warm spices.

The Origin: Inspired by the North Star
Released in 2020 as a limited edition within the Nuit d'Issey trilogy, Polaris takes its name from the North Star (Polaris)—the brightest guide in the night sky.
The perfumers created the fragrance around the concept of "light piercing through cosmic darkness." To achieve this, they contrasted cool, icy top notes (cypress and black pepper) with a dense, glowing heart of resins, leather, and vanilla, creating the sensation of warmth glowing amidst freezing starlight.
The Cosmic Starlight Flacon: The 100 ml monolithic bottle keeps the clean, rectangular silhouette of the Nuit d'Issey collection. The glass is finished in a deep, opaque pitch-black that gradually dissolves into a shimmering, starry gradient near the base, echoing the night sky illuminated by Polaris.
