Musc Noble belongs to the Woody-Floral-Musk family. It is celebrated for elevating a traditional "clean" musk into a warm, opulent, and distinctly Middle Eastern composition without losing its smooth, velvety character.
- Top Notes (The Spicy Opening): Saffron, Pink Pepper, and Aldehydes. A brilliant, fiery spice opening given a shimmering, airy lift by clean aldehydes.
- Heart Notes (The Regal Core): Rose, Musk, and Geranium. An intoxicating, velvety centerpiece where deep red rose petals and crisp geranium wrap around a rich, powdery musk.
- Base Notes (The Resinous Trail): White Amber, Cedarwood, Cistus (Labdanum), Leather, and White Musk. A warm, smooth, and long-lasting foundation that grounds the rose-musk core with a noble, resinous warmth.
The Origin: Homage to an Eastern Icon
Created in 2018 by Guerlain’s Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, Musc Noble was designed as a key pillar within the Absolus d'Orient collection. Wasser sought to pay homage to musk—one of the most mysterious and essential ingredients in Eastern perfumery.
To elevate musk into something truly noble, Wasser combined it with rare saffron and Guerlain's signature rose notes. The result is a fragrance praised globally for its duality: it feels clean and pillowy-soft on skin, yet projects a warm, fiery, and deeply luxurious trail that lasts for hours.
The Crimson Flacon: The 125 ml bottle is a breathtaking piece of art. Cast in a translucent, fiery burgundy-red glass that glows under the light, it is wrapped in an ornate gold-and-red ribbon sealed with a Guerlain medallion. Crowned with a rounded, dome-shaped gold cap, it evokes the opulent architecture of Eastern palaces.
