The Origin: The Dawn of Alessandro Michele’s Gucci
Launched in 2017, Gucci Bloom was the very first fragrance created entirely under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, crafted in collaboration with master perfumer Alberto Morillas.
Michele wanted a fragrance that felt like a thriving garden filled with diverse plants and flowers rather than a synthetic perfume. To achieve this, Morillas used a special co-extraction technique to capture the true, uninhibited scent of fresh tuberose and jasmine. Introducing Rangoon Creeper—an ingredient never before used in fine perfumery—gave the scent its signature powdery nuance and launched a worldwide mega-franchise.
The Vintage Porcelain Flacon: The 100 ml bottle broke away from traditional glass designs, featuring a retro, minimalist square silhouette cast in an opaque, powder-pink lacquered porcelain finish. Sealed with a simple ribbed Gucci label, it resembles a vintage apothecary jar and remains an absolute staple on vanity tables around the globe.
