Givenchy L'Interdit Absolu belongs to the Woody-Floral-Amber family. It reinvents the signature "thrill of the forbidden" white bouquet by surrounding it with dark, aromatic, and resinous accords.
- Top Notes (The Crisp Aromatic Spark): Fresh Lavender, Cardamom, and Neroli Essence. A sharp, invigorating opening that introduces an unexpected herbal-spicy contrast to the floral core.
- Heart Notes (The Luminous White Floral Core): Tuberose Absolute, Orange Blossom, and Jasmine Sambac. The signature L'Interdit narcotic white floral bouquet, amplified for maximum presence.
- Base Notes (The Smoky Dark Trail): Rum Absolute, Tobacco Accord, Patchouli, and Haitian Vetiver. A dark, boozy-woody foundation that adds deep texture, warmth, and intoxicating longevity.
The Origin: Breaking Gender Boundaries
Released in 2024, L'Interdit Absolu was created by master perfumers Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, and Fanny Bal.
The perfumers sought to break traditional fragrance codes by designing a composition that appeals across gender lines. By taking the traditionally feminine white floral bouquet of tuberose and orange blossom and fusing it with masculine-leaning elements—such as fresh lavender, rum absolute, and smoky tobacco—they created an enigmatic, highly concentrated interpretation within the iconic L'Interdit universe.
The Monolithic Jet-Black Flacon: The bottle receives its most radical redesign yet. Cast in a solid, opaque jet-black lacquer from base to cap, the glass conceals the juice inside like a dark secret. It retains the signature silhouette and neck-tied ribbon, finished with the matte black Givenchy 4G logo seal.
