The Origin: Couture Night Flowers
Launched in 2016 under the creative direction of Sarah Burton, McQueen Eau De Parfum was crafted as the accessible, everyday sister to the ultra-exclusive McQueen Parfum (which was encased in gold feathers).
Inspired by the dark, romantic heritage of the McQueen fashion house, perfumers Pierre Aulas and the design team wanted to move away from trendy sweet/gourmand scents. Instead, they returned to classic French perfumery roots, choosing flowers that bloom exclusively at night to reflect the brand's theatrical, nocturnal aesthetic.
The Architectural Flacon: The bottle is a heavy, sculptural piece of art. Cast in thick, solid glass with rounded shoulders, it features an opaque, crown-like gold cap intricately carved with a wreath of delicate feathers—a signature motif of the McQueen atelier.
